Roald Dahl was born on 13th September 1916 and went on to become one of the most successful children’s authors.
At Cranny NS we have been busy celebrating Roald Dahl Day by reading stories with the children. Stories are a great way for children to explore their imaginations, build empathy, experiment with language and learn to problem solve.
The children were involved in lots of activities relating to familiar Roald Dahl Stories. Our Junior Room listened to the story of the Enormous Crocodile and completed an art project based on this story. The Senior Room read a Roald Dahl book each and presented an oral report on their book to the class. They also created a wonderful display including a written report on their chosen book. Well done to everybody!
